The Certifications
B Corp: Awarded in 2023. B Corp certification is administered by B Lab and requires a minimum verified score across the full B Impact Assessment, covering environmental performance, worker welfare, community impact, and governance. It is renewed every three years with updated documentation and scoring. The Armada is the only hotel in Ireland to hold this certification.
Green Hospitality Platinum: Ireland’s hospitality sector environmental certification at its highest level, requiring documented performance across energy, water, and waste management, independently audited. Platinum is held by seven hotels in Ireland.
The Hotel
The Armada Hotel is a 4-star property sitting directly above the beach at Spanish Point on the west Clare coastline, shaped physically and editorially by its Atlantic setting. The hotel operates its own farm, uses compostable packaging, has eliminated single-use plastics from guest rooms, and participates in beach clean-ups and local conservation programmes.
Spanish Point is on the Wild Atlantic Way, close to Miltown Malbay and Kilkee, and within reach of the Cliffs of Moher (35km) and the Burren.
