Europa Hotel Belfast

Certification: Green Tourism Silver County: Antrim (Belfast City Centre, Northern Ireland) Type: 4-star hotel, Hastings Hotels

Europa Hotel Belfast holds Green Tourism Silver certification, independently assessed under the internationally recognised Green Tourism programme. Hastings Hotels, which operates the Europa alongside other leading Northern Ireland hotels, has engaged the Green Tourism framework as part of its portfolio-wide sustainability commitment.

The Certification

The Green Tourism programme independently assesses accommodation against criteria covering energy management, water conservation, waste reduction, biodiversity, and community engagement. Silver certification recognises strong performance across these criteria. The Europa earned its Silver certification alongside other Hastings Hotels properties in the same accreditation round.

The Hotel

The Europa Hotel is a 4-star property on Great Victoria Street in Belfast, adjacent to the Grand Opera House and within the city’s cultural and commercial core. The hotel has 272 rooms and has been part of Belfast’s urban landscape since 1971. It is one of the most historically recognised hotels on the island of Ireland.

The Europa occupies a central position in Belfast’s regenerated city centre, with the Cathedral Quarter, Victoria Square, and the Titanic Quarter all within easy reach. Belfast’s city centre has been substantially transformed over the past two decades, with the Europa at the heart of this reinvention.
