The River Lee’s sustainability programme covers energy, supply chain, waste, and community. The hotel switched its electricity supply to a fully renewable source and implemented a structured waste management programme. Food and beverage operations use a green procurement process with a preference for local and seasonal West of Ireland produce. The hotel’s wine menu is restricted to fully vegan and organic wines. CSR initiatives include sponsoring beehives with honey used in hotel recipes, and partnership with Tree Aid to fund tree planting and sustainable farming in Africa.
