The Certification
Green Tourism Silver certification requires independently assessed performance across energy management, water conservation, waste reduction, biodiversity, and community engagement. The hotel’s simultaneous achievement of Green Tourism Silver and Green Meetings Silver placed it at the forefront of sustainable hospitality in Ireland when the certifications were first awarded. Green Tourism certification is aligned with GSTC global sustainable tourism criteria.
The Hotel
Titanic Hotel Belfast is a 5-star property housed in the original Harland & Wolff headquarters and drawing offices at Queen’s Island, built between 1919 and 1922. The hotel has 119 rooms and suites within the heritage building, featuring original Art Deco interiors, the Wolff Grill restaurant, and the Titanic Suite occupying the former directors’ boardroom.
The hotel sits within the Titanic Quarter regeneration district, adjacent to the Titanic Belfast museum (named the World’s Leading Tourist Attraction multiple times) and the Titanic Slipways where RMS Titanic was built. The restoration of the Harland & Wolff building is one of Belfast’s most significant heritage conservation projects.
