A Sound Journey Into Deep Relaxation, Meditation & Healing

What is a Sound Bath?

A Sound Bath is a gentle group activity and a passive form of meditation. Participants lie down, comfortable and snug with blankets and pillows, while the instruments are played filling the space and bathing those present in sound vibrations. Sound therapy is an ancient practice and is often described as a massage at the cellular level.

What is Used to Create a Sound Bath?

Fiona uses her own voice to tone mantras at the various chakras frequencies. Once she has introduced you to the healing sounds she then proceeds to play her collection of instruments. Be bathed in the sounds and vibrations of tibetan singing bowls, tim shas, wind gong, shakers & energy chime bars. Let go and feel your body, mind & soul relax and harmonise to the frequencies of her voice and instruments.

At the end of a session Fiona offers any participant to have a bowl placed on their abdomen, to feel the vibrations inside & they are also welcome, to stand in the Giant F Tibetan Singing Bowl (F is the note for the Heart Chakra)… it’s lovely to feel the vibrations, as well as the full effect of this large bowl throughout the entire body.

What are the Benefits of a Sound Bath?

These sound vibrations help to rejuvenate the body by inducing a deep, meditative state. This is a wonderful experience for those seeking deep relaxation and the resulting reduction or loss of stress.

Stress alleviation can lead to a cascade of beneficial affects emotionally and physically. Generally people feel very calm, less anxious, rested & deeply relaxed afterwards. Often people will report they have wonderful sleep after a sound bath session.

What do I bring with me?

Please bring blankets and a pillow to make yourself comfy, there are yoga mats available to lie on the wood floor.

Please let us know if you’re on any medication, in the early of stages pregnancy or have a pacemaker. There are no known negative effects from sound energy healing and there is research demonstrating benefits.
