Green Hospitality Programme

The Green Hospitality Programme is an Irish-developed certification for the hospitality sector. It measures performance across energy consumption, water usage, waste reduction, and environmental management with a practical framework designed specifically for Irish hotels, guesthouses, and B&Bs.

Properties earn Gold, Silver, or Platinum status based on their audit performance. Some have also achieved the programme’s Carbon Neutral certification, which requires verified carbon accounting and offsetting.

Tiers

Green Hospitality Platinum is the highest level, requiring exceptional performance across all criteria. Gold and Silver represent progressively strong environmental management. All tiers require independent audit.
